It's a Blue Blue Christmas!!!

Hi all, well it's sure starting to feel like the cold weather is coming......I'm hoping that we will get some warmer days before the dreaded white stuff shows up!!! I really could live without the cold! :)
So onto today's post.......I actually tried to keep it simple......so here's what I came up with.............

Products Used
Cardstock: White and Dark Blue

So here's how I made this card......I used the embossing folder on the white cst, then I used the blending foam and all the distress inks, starting with the lightest at the top. Then I used the white ink and the white embossing powder on the raised areas. Stamped the snowflakes with the distress ink. Then I stamped the sentiment with the white ink and embossed it with the white embossing powder. Adhered it to my dark blue cst and added some bling. So that's all for this card...............I hope you all have a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! Until next time............

Hi all....well it's time for another Showcase Monday on the Scrapbooker's Paradise Blog and this time we are doing Wonderful Whimsical Kids........so I decided to do a girl's birthday card and I wanted to do something kinda fun.......so here's my take on it.........

Here's the front of the card....................

and I actually even did the inside for this one.....................

Products Used:
Cardstock: Dark Purple, Light Purple and Kaiser Craft Magic Happens 6"x6" Paper Pad
Stamps: Flourishes- Kids at Play and Gina K Designs - Wishes and Dreams by Alicia K

So I picked up some of the new Fran-tage embossing powders from Stampendous and they are amazing......I have used quite a few of the colours now and you can get actually two different looks from them.....how you ask??? If you heat it from the top it gives you one look and if you heat it from the bottom it gives you another!!! You really have to try this stuff it's amazing!!! It actually tells you on the jar to heat it from the bottom and if it wasn't for one of our awesome customers....thanks Arlene!!!......I would never have known. Who reads instructions anyways.....lol.......it's just embossing powder!!! :)

When I found out we had to do a Kids Theme......I was seriously wondering what I was going to do.....then I remember that I had the Kaisercraft Magic Happens 6"x6" Paper Pad and it has such cute fairies and then I remembered I also had the Flourishes- Kids at Play stamp set, so I thought that this would be a good combination to make a great birthday card for a little girl!

So, here's how I made it.........I used my spellbinders dies to cut out 4 of the diecuts then I used my embossing folder on one of them and with my blending tool and the dusty concord ink I highlighted the raised image and around the outside. Then on the dark purple cst diecut I used the stamp with the versamark and then embossed it using my new shabby blue embossing powder, hey, did I mention that I love this stuff yet :)......then I thought that it just needed a little something, so I used my scor-tape and the mixed berries glitter around the die cuts..........and what little girl doesn't like glitter!!! Now I adhered my embossed image over the embossed diecut, Then I used the corner chompers on the patterned paper and all 4 corners of the card, then I added the ric rac and pop dotted the diecuts to the front of the card. I added a sentiment and little more glitter and of course some bling!!! The sentiments are from Gina K set.....I thought they matched perfectly with the card!!! Well that's pretty much it for this card..........I hope you all have a great week!!! Until next time............

Sunflowers, Butterflies & Blue Skies!!!

Hi all.....it's Showcase Monday on Scrapbooker's Paradise Blog and this month's theme is Summer Fun........since I don't do a lot of scrapbooking this was a hard theme for me......but I did come up with something and I hope you all like it!!!

When I think of summer, it reminds me of butterflies and sunflowers, so here's what I came up with............

Products Used
Cardstock: Light Aqua, Dark Aqua, Brown Strathmore Watercolor Paper and Prima 6"x6" Madeline Paper Pad
Stamps: Flourishes- Sunflowers and Country Charm
Inks: Ranger Archival Ink-Black and Momento-Rich Cocoa
Misc.: Creative Imaginations Twinkling H2O's-Solar Gold, Warm Pecan, Lemondrop, Rainforest, Kiwi and Navajo Pearl, Sizzix Embossing Folder- Butterfly Migration, Sakura Koi Waterbrushes, Tim Holtz Sanding Block, Copic Glitter Marker-Lipstick, Eclipse Masking Tape and misc. Brown Ribbon

I wanted to play with my Twinkling H2O's and do a sunflower, so I stamped the large sunflower with the black archival ink from the flourishes set, then masked it and stamped the leaf and then masked it again and stamped the small sunflower bud. Then I used my waterbrush and coloured all of it with the H2O's. I stamped the sunflower again and coloured that in, shaped it and cut it out. It's pop dotted over the first one. I stamped the little ladybug, coloured it in with the glitter marker, then cut it out, shaped it and pop dotted it. The pic really doesn't do it justice, as it's much more shimmery in person! Then, I used the embossing folder on the patterned paper and the dark teal cst, sanded and used the rich cocoa around the edges. I punched the lattice out of the patterned paper and layered it on top, then pop dotted the sunflower, which I layered with the brown cst. Stamped and die cutted the sentiment and added the ribbon. Adhered all of this to the card base. That's pretty much it for this card............so I hope you all enjoyed my version of summer!!! Have a great week, till next time..............

So if you would like to pick up some of the Twinkling H2O's or just want to do some shopping............check out Scrapbooker's Paradise Online store............I'm sure you will find tons of stuff to order!!  :)

A Tattered Hello

Hi all......so we having been having some nice weather here lately, but we have had a little bit if snow, the good thing is at least it's melting  :)..........I definitely can't wait till all this snow is gone!!! Anyways, on to today's post.........we have in some really awesome Modeling Film from Stamper's Anonymous(Art Gone Wild), it comes in white, black, transparent and a multi pack. The fun thing about it is you can stamp on it, use alcohol inks or copic and then you can form it, ruffle it and if you don't like what you get, you just re-heat it and start all over again. You really need to try this stuff!!! Anyways on to today's post...............

Here's my card......................
Products Used
Inks: Ranger Alcohol Inks: Copper(Metalic Mixatives), Stonewashed(Miners Lantern) & Caramel(Cabin Cupboard), Tim Holtz Distress Ink-Spiced Marmalade, Tim Holtz Distress Stain-Walnut Stain & StazOn-Timber Brown

So, did I say that I really really love the new modeling film??? :) So here's a little bit on how I made my card........I used the tattered florals die on the modeling film and the mabel paper. Then I used the alcohol ink on the modeling film flowers. Now turn your flowers over and stamp with the StazOn and the stamp from Butterfly Garden set. If you are stamping with StazOn and using anything that is alcohol based, you want to make sure you don't do both on the same side as they will react with one another. Then I heated and shaped the flowers and put them together with some old brads that I have had for years. After that, I die cut the flourishes and inked them with the distress ink and then applied the embossing powder. I used my cream coloured seam binding ribbon and applied the walnut distress stain to it, crumpled it up and then dried it using my heat tool. Then used the Parisian Accents die on the Mabel paper and adhered it to the Aqua CST and trimed. Stamped and punched out the sentiment, then put it all together, that's basically it!

Here's a close up of my flowers................
it's so hard to see everything in the pic......but I hope you will all try it!!! Have a great week, so until next time...........

It's Time for Another Playing in Paradise Challenge!!!

So it's that time again, are you ready to play along with us? This time Carla wanted us to Scraplift her colours, technique and layout........so below is Carla's adorable card............

And here's my take on it.......................I also did a baby card, as I felt our new Best Creations Safari Boy line would fit perfectly with the challenge!!! Also this card has no stamping on it........can you believe that!! This has to be a first for me :)

Products Used:
Cardstock: Light Blue, Mint Green & Best Creations Safari Boy 6"x6" Paper Pad

So this is a really quick and easy card to do, but I love how it turned out and if you haven't all ready you really need to check out all the awesome papers by Best Creations!!! They have some beautiful papers and their glitter papers are to die for!!! The nice thing about their glitter papers is the glitter does not come off and the colours are amazing.

So onto how I made my card........basically everything is cut out using the Spellbinders and Sizzix dies.........then I used the Sweet Baby Boy saying in the 6"x6" Paper pad and pop dotted it over the Labels 17 die cuts. I used the Smooch Accent ink around the striped circle and the labels 17 die cut, to look like stitching. Added the buttons and the pearls to the card and that's it!!! Well, I hope you all enjoyed my card!!!

Now you really have to check out what the Creative Challenge Team has done:

Time for Our Feature Product Post and Who Would like to Win Some Blog Candy?????

Hi all, well it's time for another Feature Product Post and this time it's the Stampendous Embossing Powder Kits!!! Love them, they give you a great way to try a bunch of colours and a little goes along way!!! So who's up for winning some awesome powders..........see the deets at the end of my post!!! So onto today's post, this time I decided to make 2 cards and I hope you like them.......l know I enjoyed playing with these powders!!! So here's the first card............

Products Used:
Cardstock: Black, Core'dinations All in the Family- Violets
Ink:Versamark & Ranger Archival Black Ink

So a little bit of how I put it all together.....I die cut the card and the sticky backed canvas with the spellbinders dies, then I peeled the backing off of the canvas and used the sticky back to apply the EP's, one at a time heating them as I did each colour. I really love the effect of this, it looks awesome!!! Then I stamped it with the Music Background.  Now I die cut the black cardstock for the flourishes and used the Versamark ink on them and then the EP's. Then I stamped the sentiment, embossed it and punched it out using the Photo Labels punch. Then I just added some of the rhinestones to the flourishes, you know  I love my bling!!!!

Now, onto the second card............I really wasn't too sure about this card, but I figured I would share it anyways.........so here it is.......let me know what you think........

Products Used:
Cardstock: White, Core'dinations all in the Family- Violets & Pretty in Pink

Well, are you still with me???.........lol....so the info on how I did this card.

First, I die cut the flowers then I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the stamping. I love the MFT dies and stamps, they're awesome!!! If you're not sure on how to use a Stamp-a-ma-jig see this post.....it definitely comes in handy and is so quick and easy to use!!! Then I coloured in the flowers with my versamark marker and embossed, doing only one colour at a time, that way they don't mix together. Once the flowers were done, I added the flower soft to the center. Then, I used my embossing folder and I sanded the cardstock. Die cut the lacy circle twice and cut them in half. On the bottom one, I used the EP 3x and then stamped into it with my sentiment, while it was still hot..........it showed up really well in person, but not so much for the camera........lol....so I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig again and used the Staz On white, now it shows up better for the camera, and I actually like how it looks. Did a little bit of sanding on them added my ribbon and tied a bow.

That's pretty much it for this card..........okay now on to the good stuff..........would you like to WIN one of the Stampendous EP Kits????
