My Version of Tim Holtz's Day 5 Tag

Hi all.....so I have been having fun creating some of Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of Christmas and today this is my version of his Day 5 Tag.....I did change a couple of things.....but I just love the technique on this tag...........so here's my tag.............

Products Used
Cardstock: White, Clear Transparency and Tim Holtz Grungepaper
Dies: Tim Holtz Tag and Bookplates, Tim Holtz Regal Crest

So I did the same technique that Tim did for the background, which you can check out on Tim's Blog. I did add 3 layers of the leaves instead of two and I added more pearls......you can never have to many pearls :) I did change the ribbon and instead of using the paint, I used one of the stains instead. I love this tag it's simple but so pretty. I hope you enjoyed my version of his day 5 Tag and don't forget that all our stores are doing the 12 Tags of Christmas as well which you can check out here. So that's all for this time...........until next time.......Have a great week!!!

Featured Product Post and Another Giveaway!!!

Hi all...........well it's that time again for another Featured Product Post and this time it's...........Copic Markers!!! So if you would like to win one, scroll down to the bottom of this post and I will tell you how........so this time instead of colouring with my Copics I decided that I would try stamping.........I hope you all enjoy what I came up with!!! You can also check out what Laura did on her blog, I'm sure you will love it!!!

Products Used
Copic: Sketch Markers YG99 and R39, Copic Blending Solution

I really love the look of the copics when you stamp with them, so to stamp with your Copics, first put some Blending Solution in a Mini Mister, then with your Copic Markers colour up your stamp. Once you are done, spritz your stamp with the blending solution and then stamp it right away. I will warn you though, this may stain your stamp but I think that it's worth it!!! I also used the Scor Tape and the glitter over the stamped image, but the glitter never shows up well for the camera :) I added the rosette, some ribbon and the 25 die cut and that's pretty much it for this card.

So I did say that there's a giveaway.........would you like to win one of the Copic Markers??? If so head on over to the Scrapbooker's Paradise Blog and leave a comment on the Featured Product Post you have until October 31st to enter your comment.

Don't forget to check out what Laura did with the Copics.......so until next time.........have a great week!!!

Featured Product Post Starring........Cupcakes Galore!!! and a Chance to Win the Featured Product!!!

Hi all.............well it's that time again for the Featured Product Post....and a chance to win a set of clear Inkadinkado stamps, scroll down to the bottom of my post for all the deets..........So, I did something totally different for me and I didn't use any Tim Holtz products...........are you surprised??? Well, I hope you all enjoy my card and don't forget that Sara is also doing her post on the Featured Product as well.........this should be interesting, since we both picked the same stamp set :)........so here's the set...............

and here's what I came up with.........................

Products Used
Cardstock: Pink, Green, X-Press It Blending Cardstock & Jillibean Soup 6"x6" Pad- Blossom Soup
Inks: Momento- Tuxedo Black, Bamboo Leaves, Angel Pink & New Sprout

So a little bit on how I made this card, I stamped all the cupcakes from the Inkadinkado Birthday Cupcake set with my Tuxedo Black and coloured them in with my copics, then I fussy cut them out. I also hand drew 3 cherries with my black multiliner and then coloured them in with my copics and fussy cut them out and added them to the 3 large cupcakes. I stamped the Life of the Party stamp in Momento Bamboo Leaves ink and adhered it to the top of the green cst and the blossom soup patterned paper to the bottom. Then I added the ribbbon and a bow.

For the cupcakes.....2 of the larger ones I used the Tattered Angels Glam and for the other one I used the stickles. Then for the 3 smaller ones I used my Stardust pen, I added the Glossy Accents to all of the cherries. For the sentiment I used Momento Tuxedo Black. The Momento Angel Pink and New Sprout I used with one of little stamps from the Inkadinkado Birthday Cupcakes set to create a subtle background for the sentiment. That's pretty much it, other than putting it together.

Well, I bet you are all wondering how do I win the Featured Product........so all you have to do is head on over to the Scrapbooker's Paradise Blog and leave a comment on the Featured Product Post and some lucky person will win a set from Inkadinkado.

Hi all, it's time for another post........I hope you've all seen some of the amazing new products that have come in at Scrapbooker's Paradise!!! One of the new lines that we are carrying are the Heartfelt Creations line of Stamps and Dies, You can check out the whole line here, these are amazing stamps and dies and of course I couldn't resist buying a few........okay, well actually alot of them.....lol.......so I figured I would do a card using them. I hope you like it!!!

Products Used

Cardstock: Blue, Dark Brown, Beige & K & Company Julianne Designer Paper 6"x6" Pad

So this card was fairly easy to put together.....I layered the brown cardstock and the designer paper added the crocheted lace to the middle and then adhere it onto the blue card base. Die cut 2 of the fancy corners and centered them on the front. Now, stamp the butterfly on the designer paper and cut it out with the die. I thought that the body of the butterfly needed a little something, so I added the brushed corduroy distress stickles to it and set it aside to dry, actually I found it took too long to dry, so I speeded up the drying time with my heat gun.....I'm a little impatient when it comes to waiting for things to dry......lol....just remember, that you can only use the heat tool on the distressed stickles, not on the regular stickles!

Okay now where was I? Oh yeah.....so then I stamped the sentiment, cut it out with the Labels 4 die and also die cut one out of the blue cardstock. Inked around the sentiment and cut the blue one in half and adhered it behind. Pop dotted this to the center of the card and I also pop dotted the butterfly. Added the pearls and that's pretty much it for this card. So I guess that's all till next time........I hope you all have a great week!!!

Just a Note Card

Hi all.......it's time for another blog post!!! I bought this stamp awhile ago and actually did the card up, but I ended up getting sidetracked with some of the new products we got in.......lol........so anyways, here is the card I made...........

I love this stamp.......there's soo much you can do with it!!! It comes with 3 sayings, but you can put anything on the typewriter paper. So onto the product list and a little info on how I put this together.......

Products Used
Cardstock: White, Metallic Bronze & 7 Gypsies 8"x8" Paper Pad-Lilie
Inks: Momento Tuxedo Black Ink, Tim Holtz Distress Inks: Fired Brick & Brushed Corduroy

I really love the Hero Arts stamps, they have so many awesome stamps to choose from and these two are no exception......the dictionary sayings are great to add to the background of your card or layout. Well enough rambling onto how I put this together........

I use the Lillie paper on the front of the card and I inked and distressed the edges. Then I stamped it with the friend dictionary saying twice and tore a couple of strips, inked them and added them to the front. I stamped the typewriter onto the white cst and cut it out using the Labels 17 die and inked around it with both distress inks. I cut out the metallic cst with the Labels 17 die and adhered them together. Now, I stamped just the paper part again and cut it out, stamped the saying and used the brushed corduroy around the edges and pop dotted it over the paper, so it looks like it's coming out of the typewriter. It's really hard to see in the photo, but it really does look like it's coming out of the typewriter :) Then I added the ribbon and bow.......voila all finished!!! so that's it for this time..........I hope you enjoyed my post............see you again soon!!!
