Happy Go Lucky Flowers Card!!!

Hi all.......well I'm sooo happy the snow has finally gone!!! I will take all the rain we've been having over snow anytime, but the warm sunny days are definitely the best!!! :) So we have had so many new products come in over the last few months, but I just love the bright and fun colours of the new My Mind's Eye Happy Go Lucky papers and the cute twine that goes with it, so here's what I did with the papers and twine........I hope you all like it!!!

This is the card that I made and I even pulled out my Copics to colour it....................

So this is pretty simple to put together.......I used the fuchsia cst for my card and layered it with the teal cst and then the patterned paper. I punched out the garden trellis and adhered that. Then I stamped the garden life stamp and coloured it in with my Copics, trimmed around it, then matted it with the teal cst. Then I cut a strip of the patterned paper and matted it with the teal cst and topped it off with the grommet die cut and the sentiment. For my finishing touches.....I added the twine and some liquid pearls. I just love all of the colours that the twine comes in.....and of course I just had to add a few to my collection :)  Well that's all for this time...........so until next time.....

So a little bit on how I made this card, I stamped all the cupcakes from the Inkadinkado Birthday Cupcake set with my Tuxedo Black and coloured them in with my copics, then I fussy cut them out. I also hand drew 3 cherries with my black multiliner and then coloured them in with my copics and fussy cut them out and added them to the 3 large cupcakes. I stamped the Life of the Party stamp in Momento Bamboo Leaves ink and adhered it to the top of the green cst and the blossom soup patterned paper to the bottom. Then I added the ribbbon and a bow.

For the cupcakes.....2 of the larger ones I used the Tattered Angels Glam and for the other one I used the stickles. Then for the 3 smaller ones I used my Stardust pen, I added the Glossy Accents to all of the cherries. For the sentiment I used Momento Tuxedo Black. The Momento Angel Pink and New Sprout I used with one of little stamps from the Inkadinkado Birthday Cupcakes set to create a subtle background for the sentiment. That's pretty much it, other than putting it together.

Masculine Notebook

Hi all, well it's time for another post.........and guess what this time I didn't do a card, can you believe it!!!  :) So I really wanted to play with some of my Tim Holtz stuff and thought that I could do a really cool gift for my hubby at the same time! So here's what I came up with....................

I really love the Tim Holtz products, can't you tell??? :) So this is pretty easy to do, I used the Kraft Resist on the front with the Distress Stains and added the Kraft Glassine on the side, then I added the embossed old vehicle, which I coloured with the Distress Ink and then to adhere everything down I used the new Ranger Glue N Seal in the Matte finish. I did the same for the back, I just didn't add the embossed vehicle. I also used the Glue N Seal to coat the front and back of the notebook to make it more durable. This stuff is amazing.......I can see using it alot!!! I added the notes saying and the ornate plate. I stamped the divider, which is covered with the kraft cst, with the air travel set using the distress inks. Then cut the notepaper and used my Cinch to bind it all together then added the corners. I love how it turned out, it would make an awesome Father's Day gift!!! Chanteuse Tri-Shutter Card

Hi all......well I sure have been enjoying our nice weather lately....it almost feels like spring here, finally :)........so hopefully we don't get any more of the white stuff!!! So, I really wanted to play with the new line of Chateuse papers from Kaiser Craft and this is what I came up with...........

Stamps: Prima Clear Stamp-Regal Madeline & Kaiser Craft Clear Stamps-Occasions

Ink: StazOn-Timber Brown

Misc.: Tsukineko Clear Embossing Powder, Copic Spica-Clear Glitter Pen, Clearsnap Smooch Top Coat & Misc. Pink Rhinestones

This is a pretty basic tri-shutter card, all the patterned papers are layered over top of the brown cardstock. Aren't these papers gorgeous!!! I love the pinks, browns and greens together. So, then I stamped the key with the brown StazOn ink on the 4 smallest pieces. Stamped the sentiment on the pink cardstock and layered it with the brown cardstock and added some pink rhinestones. I did use the smooch top coat on the brown flower in the middle and the clear spica on some of the other flowers.........of course this doesn't show up well in the pic :)......and that's pretty much it for this card. The only thing that takes the longest is cutting and gluing all the pieces :).....and making sure that you have the right sizes for all of the panels. Painting with Perfect Pearls

Hi all, well I picked up the new Confections Kit and one of the Penny Black stamps and thought that this would be a good time to show you what you can do with the Perfect Pearls. They do work the best on dark cardstock, but I will give you a tip on how to do it on the lighter cardstock at the end of my post. So onto today's tutorial....................

Step 1- Using your Embossing Magic or Perfect Printing Pouch, rub this all over your cardstock, this way the Perfect Pearls will only stick to the Perfect Medium and not your fingerprints!!! Now you can stamp your image with the Perfect Medium onto your cardstock.

Step 2- Apply the Sour Apple Perfect Pearl with the small brush included in the kit. A little goes a long way, so just pick up a little bit on the tip of your brush and then I just paint it on, trying not to get it where I don't want it. Now, before you apply your next colour make sure you wipe off your brush. Since the Perfect Medium stays wet for a long time you don't have to worry, you have lots of time to apply all of your colours.

Step 3- Now, apply the Grape Fizz Perfect Pearl with the small brush. Again make sure to clean your brush off.

Step 4- Next apply the Pink Gumball Perfect Pearl and wipe off your brush. And finally apply the Blue Raspberry Perfect Pearls.

Step 5- Take the big fluffy brush that's included in the kit and use it in a swirling motion to get all of the perfect pearls embedded into the perfect medium. Once this is done, you have a completed image!!! You will notice that the Perfect Pearls only stick to the Perfect Medium, creating a beautiful painted image.

I hope you all enjoyed my tutorial on using the Perfect Pearls Kit.......there's so much you can do with them. You can actually use them as paints if you want. Just add a tiny bit of the pearls and a touch of water on a plastic palette and it will create a paint to paint with.

I sprayed over top of the Perfect Pearls with the Goosebumps spray to give it some texture and I also did the butterflies and the sentiment in the Perfect Pearls. I added some black rhinestones and the black twine and did some layering, that's pretty much it for this card.

I also did the sentiment and border in the Perfect Pearls and cut them out using the die, then I trimmed the Perfect Pearls piece and layered it. I added a strip of black with a piece of the perfect pearls that I had trimmed off.  I sprayed the flowers with the Perfect Pearls Mists and added the crystals to the centers. So that's pretty much it for this card. If you haven't tried the Perfect Pearls Kits yet, you really should........I always have so much fun playing with these!!!

Well I did say I would tell you how to use your light cardstock with them.......since they don't show up well on the light cst, you can stamp with black ink, then using a stamp positioner, stamp over top of the image again using the perfect medium. This will give you a nice dark base for your perfect pearls and they will show up better. Black & White Mosaic Wedding Card

Hi all, so our theme today is wedding and I decided to do.......a wedding card!!! I had bought some of the new Harmonie Mosaic Tiles and have been wanting to use them, so I thought that I would show you how you can use these cute tiles on a card. I hope that you all will give them a try, as they have so many things you can do with them. I will give you a couple of ideas, after my post. So onto today's card......................

So I did say I would tell you a couple of ways to use the tiles..........of course you can use them like I did :), but you can also use them as a border on your card. Also, if you want to, you can leave a small space between the tiles and use the Harmonie Cement it comes in Chocolate or White. To do this you would attach your tiles using double sided adhesive but leave a space between your tiles, then you would mix up the cement according to the directions on the bottle and apply it with a spatula, making sure to push it into the cracks. Now, remove as much of the cement as you can from the top of your tiles. Then once it's dry, wipe it with a damp cloth to remove the rest of the cement that's on the top of your tiles. Basically the same idea as if you were tiling your kitchen or bathroom. So, you can create many designs using the tiles and they come in two sizes. Don't forget you can also colour these tiles with your copics to create the colour that you want. I hope you will try them.......just think of all the different patterns you could create with them by using different colours and sizes. 

For my card, I just layered some of the after five patterned papers and I also used the after five paper for my flowers, which are all cut out using the Rose Creations die. This is one of the new Spellbinders and I love this die, it has 6 flower sizes and 3 leaves, so you can make lots of layered flowers. So this is how I used the Flower Soft.....I applied the scor-tape to the cardstock and then die cut it. For the branch I used the brown and a little bit of the black Flower Soft on the adhesive side, making sure to pat the flower soft into the adhesive. Now, for the bird....I used my exacto knife and just cut into the top layer of the backing on the scor-tape to expose the feet and beak of the bird, then I applied the Ultra Fine Black to them. Then I did the same to create a belly for the bird then applied the baby blue, finishing off with the bright blue for the rest of the bird. I love how it looks, the bird is just sooo cute! You will find if you use the scor-tape that some areas won't fill in, just make sure that you pat it down and add more Flower Soft. So for the Fleur De Lis Frame I did the same with the Scor-Tape and the cardstock, except after I applied the nut brown, I added glitter over top........it shows up really well in person, but not so much in the picture. Well that's pretty much it for this card......the rest is just putting it together. I hope you all get your flower soft out and start playing!!!! So until next time..................
